UnityPoint Health-Trinity is in need of volunteers who have a passion for helping others.  We could really use help with things, such as: helping in our Gift Shops, stuffing envelopes, answering phones, transporting patients in wheelchairs, delivering supplies to units, creating floral arrangements, pricing merchandise, providing wayfinding instructions to visitors, serving as a befriender, or entering data.  Some of these tasks can be done on an individual basis or with a friend.  The more people we have helping our patients, the better!

The time commitment is very minimal; shifts are typically: 8 am – Noon, Noon – 4 pm, or 4-7 pm.  We have volunteers that come in one/week, while others volunteer 2-3 shifts/week.  It’s really up to the volunteer.  We are flexible!

There may be individuals that are looking for a new hobby to fill some downtime, or are lonely and looking to make a new friend; sometimes, these individuals don’t know where to begin. By starting their search with us, not only would they be making new connections, filling their day with something that provides them with a sense of purpose, but their passion for helping others would benefit our patients while fulfilling our mission.
